Created by the duo Criolina, formed by Ale Muniz and Luciana Simões, the BR 135 Festival has existed for 7 years. In this edition, an audience of 70 thousand people gathered to watch musical attractions from all over Brazil in the Historic Center of São Luís. The event, which always takes place in the second semester, promotes shows, workshops, training and the promotion of sponsorships, aiming to strengthen the chain musical production in Maranhão and the exchange of local artists with national artists. The BR-135 Festival was born with the proposal to occupy the city with shows and performances, mainly the streets and squares of the historic center, offering free programming open to all audiences.
